Kate has been a professional pastry chef for 10 years, baking in kitchens across Omaha, Lincoln and San Francisco. Her love for food and people intersected while teaching English at Omaha’s Refugee Empowerment Center. Kate strongly believes that food is a universal language that can encourage cultural exchange and understanding. Her emphatic nature has molded her into a curious and compassionate teacher, delighting in the relational and academic processes that ensue.
